 About us
The GEWANDHAUS MUSEUM is helping to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
For this reason we are closing the museum until at least the end of March 2021.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding.

 The GEWANDHAUS Museums‘ Exhibition
offers visitors a fascinating insight into the
history of fashion and costume over a period
 of 500 years.

The sumptuous furnished rooms with their
magnificent robes are a total work of art that
 seeks exclusiveness, expressiveness and
 creativity beyond compare.

The artists Ilse Wolf and her daughter
Morrison created unique handcrafted
Couture robes and accessories,
 a real
firework of fabrics.

Experience the wonderful ambience in the
 extraordinary GEWANDHAUS Museum
open your senses to beauty.
